Oppo Reno 2 series includes three phones - Reno 2, Reno 2Z & Reno 2F
All three smartphones sport quad-camera setup with a primary 48 MP sensor, Game Boost 3.0 Mode, 3.5 mm Audio jack, Game Space, in-display Fingerprint scanner 3.0, Shark Fin pop up camera, type- C charging port, VOOC 3.0 flash charging and a 4000 mAh battery. All three variants in Reno 2 series run on Android Pie based Color OS 6.1.
OPPO RENO 2
Talking about the highest variant— Oppo Reno 2 — features an AMOLED 6.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels that Oppo calls an E3 Sunlight screen. It comes with a 20:9(93.1%) aspect ratio display with 5th gen gorilla glass protection in front as well as back of the phone.The Oppo Reno 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.As far as optics are concerned, the Reno 2 features a quad camera setup with a 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization, a 13 MP telephoto sensor, an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP mono lens. Some of the main highlighting features are 5x hybrid zoom, ultra dark mode and ultra steady video stablization.
For selfies on the front, the Reno 2 features a smooth flash 16 MP sensor and an AI beauty mode. Both front and the rear camera now has Video Blur feature in which the background is blurred while shooting a video.
Oppo reno 2 fueling is a 4,000 mAH battery with quickly charging support for VOOC 3.0. Also, the Reno 2 supports NFC, UFS2.1, LTE, and 5.0 Bluetooth. Color options for Oppo Reno 2 will be Ocean Blue and Luminous Black.
OPPO RENO 2Z AND 2F
As for the two lower versions — Reno 2Z and Reno 2F — their chipsets and on-board storage are the differentiating factors between the two systems. While a MediaTek P90 powers the Oppo Reno 2Z, Reno 2F has MediaTek P70. Also, the Reno 2Z offers 256 GB of storage and the Reno 2F provides 128 GB of storage. Surprisingly, the two smartphones also have a distinction in Bluetooth tech — Reno 2Z supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Reno 2F provides Bluetooth 4.2.
Besides that, both Reno 2Z and Reno 2F feature an AMOLED 6.53-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5th generation for front and back security.
In terms of optics Reno 2Z and Reno 2F, the overall camera setup is the same, which is a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP wide-angle lens, a 2 MP mono lens and a 2 MP portrait lens. The distinction here is the sensor used for the main camera and the video modes.
The Reno 2Z camera features a Sony IMX 586 sensor with Ultra Dark mode and Ultra Steady Video mode, while Reno 2F uses Samsung's GM1 sensor and sports Ultra Mode 2.0. However, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F both support the electronic image stabilization Both Reno 2Z and Reno 2F sport a 16 MP selfie camera with AI beauty modes. The Reno 2Z will be available in Sky White, Luminous Black and Polar Light colors and the Reno 2F will be available in Sky White colors and Lake Green colors.
Pricing and Availability
The price of the Reno 2 is Rs 36,990, and the price of the Reno 2Z is Rs 29,990. On the other hand, the Reno 2F will be available this year in November, and the prices are still to be revealed.The availability date for all versions is different.
Reno 2 will be available for purchase from 20 September,
while the Reno 2Z will be available for sale from 6 September.
